Awards & Scholarships

The College of Business & Economics Awards Banquet will be held on May 9, 2008. The awards and scholarships listed below will be given out at the Awards Banquet.

Recipients must attend CBE Annual Awards Banquet on May 9, 2008

Any Undergraduate or Masters	Any Major	HIRE Center	$1000	GPA of 3.0 or better Must enroll Fall Quarter, 2008 Must be interested in pursuing a study of social policy or social issues
Any Undergraduate or Masters	Option in Accounting	Kazuko and Rex High Memorial	$1250	GPA of 3.0 or better Must be a full-time student Must have completed at least 75 quarter units or equivalent Must have completed at least one intermediate accounting class with a grade of “B” or better Must show evidence of working part-time Cannot have received scholarships in excess of $6,000 to date Financial need
Any Undergraduate or Masters	Option in Marketing	Marketer’s Award	$1000	GPA of 3.0 or better in Major and overall Must have completed at least one Marketing course
Sophomore	Any Option in Business Administration	Orland P. Close	$500	GPA of 3.0 or better Must have 36 units at CSUEB completed or in progress Must enroll Fall Quarter, 2008 (and show proof of enrollment)
Junior	Major in Economics	Joseph E. Fuhrig	$1900	GPA of 3.5 or better Must enroll Fall Quarter, 2008 (and show proof of enrollment)
Junior	Any Option in Business Administration or Economics	Paula Rae Norris	$500	GPA of 3.0 or better Must be a full-time student Substantial involvement in student activities Must enroll Fall Quarter, 2008
Junior or Continuing Senior	Any Option in Business Administration	Harry E. Allison	$500 - $2000	GPA of 3.25 at CSUEB and 3.0 overall Financial need Must enroll Fall Quarter, 2008
Junior or Continuing Senior	Option in Accounting or Finance	Financial Executives International	$4000	Must be a full-time student Must be graduating December 2008 or later Must demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership Must attend the FEI Awards Banquet (Silicon Valley Chapter) in Fall 2008
Junior or Continuing Senior	Any Option in Business Administration or Economics	Walter P. Menzies	$500	GPA of 3.75 or better at CSUEB Must enroll Fall Quarter 2008, Winter Quarter 2009, and Spring Quarter 2009 Must have 36 or more quarter units completed at CSUEB by end of Winter 2008
Masters	Major in Economics	Joseph E. Fuhrig	$1900	GPA of 3.5 or better Must enroll Fall Quarter, 2008 (and show proof of enrollment)
